Finding Love

Over the past week of so I have been doing a lot of research on social media about what sort of knowledge there is on mindset and how I can educate you all on my methods.

There is a lot out there on mindfulness such as breathing techniques, guided meditations and creating peace and self love.

I pondered whether to go down that path but for anyone that has met me you will know that, that is just not me.

I am pretty straight to the point so for me to tell you to find peace and not give you the how’s or the why’s would be really inappropriate and a disservice. (Ps. You will never find peace without war, doesn’t exist)

In my perception (and that doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong), mindfulness comes from creating within us a purpose and a reason to be in this world.

It’s about loving ourselves enough to let our dreams come true and taking it by the horn and going head first into it.

Mindfulness is creating goals and sticking to them because they are something that uplifts us and inspires us to do so. It’s about giving the life we wanted a go and knowing deep within us that that is the way we want to go.

Because if we do that the challenges we face along the way won’t get us down, won’t beat us up and won’t kill us. They will be the reason we keep fighting. The reason we just don’t give in and the reason why we don’t die.

However let’s put in some disclaimers here. You can always dream big. As they say “the sky is the limit” however the actionable steps to get there need to be realistic. If they are not, that is when anxiety and panic can step in and create stagnation. Your goals need to be achievable within the time frame that you set them in. They also need to have meaning and truly have a place in your heart. They need to direct and not long winded.

E.g. Don’t have I am going to do a 5km run.

Because my goals are measured week in and week out I am able to track them and hit my targets. Is it fun? Not always.

You can apply this to anything. Keep your dreams big, write out your goals and create actionable steps to achieve it. Start knocking things off your bucket list and I am sure that your stress and anxiety will be reduced.

So rather than trying to act positively and being kind and nice and peaceful. Go out and be productive in the things you would love to do.

So go on, get inspired.
